Mrs. Frank Compton

Mrs. Nancy Mariah Compton of Mt. Jackson, formerly of Washington, Va., died Sunday, October 11, 1964 at Mt. Jackson at the age of 96. She was a native of Rappahannock, daughter of the late Miles Jackson Dwyer and Frances Bolen Dwyer and widow of Frank Compton.

She is survived by two sons, Ira S. Compton of Mt. Jackson and Clarence Compton pf Reva; one daughter, Mrs. Bessie R, Woodward of Cheverly, Md., ten grandchildren.

A funeral service was held Tuesday, October 13 at 2:00 p.m. at Thornton Gap Regular Baptist Church, of which she was a member. Interment was in Washington Masonic Cemetery. The last rites were conducted by Elder Kirby Shenk Assisted by Elder Maxwell Butler and Elder McClure, r.. _____
