Miss Knapp Weds
H. T. Updike, Jr.
The marriage of Miss Susie Knapp of California to Henry Taylor Updike, Jr. USN took place November 20, 1965 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Miss Knapp, a native of Illinois, has spent the past five years in California. Mr. Updike is the son of Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Updike, Washington, Va. The couple will make their home presently in Port Hue neme, Calif, where Mr. Up dike is stationed with the U. S. Navy. Mrs. Updike has a position there with the Civil Service Bureau.

Mrs. R. E. Wood and Mrs. Mary B. Quaintance were joint hostesses at dessert bridge on Monday evening at the home of Mrs. Wood. Guests included Mrs. Wallace Russell, Mrs John S. Browning, Mrs. Eva Smith, Mrs. Roberta Spalding, Mrs. Harry Lee Smith, Mrs. Thomas Eastham, Mrs. George H. Davis, Jr., Mrs. W. F. Moffett, Mrs. Mary Lea, Mrs. W. H. Massie, Jr., Mrs. T. C. Lea, Jr., Mrs. John Cargill, Mrs. John R. De Bergh, Mrs. Weiland Flynt, Miss Belle Strother, Mrs. D. D. Miller, Mrs. L. J. Turner, Mrs. James F. Massie, Mrs. Thomas B. Massie and E. M. Jones. Mrs. Davis won high score, Miss Strother, second, Mrs. Browning bingo and Mrs. Russell low.
