At Mr. Wells’ suggestion, hounds were cast in a new spot on the south side of the bend of the Thornton River sheltered by Mason Mt. A few days before Mr. Wells had been poking around along the Thornton which forms the lower boundary of his land. As he followed it down toward the Fletcher’s house, he noticed several fox den entrances, and felt that this protected stretch with its clear running water couldn’t help but please our local foxes.
