By Mrs. B. M. Varner Miss Cassie Coates was a guest on Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Wood. Mrs. W. W. Sanford of Orange and Mrs. Mary M. Quaintance visited Miss Belle Stroth er at the Lynn Care Center in Front Royal on Sunday. Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schaefer and Freddie were Mrs. Francis Updike of Radford College and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Jacobs and son, Ricky of Warrenton. They were joined for dinner on Saturday night by Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Johnson, Jr. and son Tracy of Alexandria and Mrs. Gordon Payne of Madison.

Weekend guests ofMrs.Cath erine Brown were Mr. and Mrs Strother Brown and daughter Susan of Long Island, New York, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Overhulser and daughters Jane and Vicky of Arlington, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Payne of Alexandria, Benny Brown and Roselee Tomplin of Winchester, Mr. and Mrs. Julian Brown of Culpeper and Shirley Brown of Bethesda, Md. Miss Brown remained for a weeks visit after a foot operation in the Washington Hospital Center.

Mr. and Mrs. D. V. Chapman, Jr. of Richmond spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs D. V. Chapman, Sr. Wiley Gentry of Flint Hill was a luncheon guest on Saturday. Mrs. Robert W. Brown spent last weekend with her son-inlaw and daughter, Mr. and Mrs Maurice Butler in Alexandria. Guests on Wednesday of Mrs. Virginia Lewis and Miss Ruth Menefee were Mr. and Mrs, Fielding Lewis of Front Royal and Major and Mrs. Carroll Menefee, Jr. and family of Wurtssmith Air Force Base, Michigan who were enroute
