Tax Deadline
Is May 1st
May 1st is the deadline for filing state income tax returns and for paying state income taxes to avoid penalty. It is also the deadline for filing a declaration of personal property with the office of the Commissioner of Revenue. Mrs. Roberta Spalding, Commissioner, is in her office in the courthouse, Washington every day and the office is open a half day Saturday through May 1st.
Rev. Kenneth Clark Forest Grove Speaker
The Rev. Kenneth Clark of Finksburg, Md. will be the speaker Sunday, April 28 for the 11 a.m. worship service at Forest Grove Baptist Church. Following the service, a covered dish dinner will be held in the basement of the church and the public is invited to attend.
Rev. Clark will be guest minister at the Jeffersonton Baptist Church in the afternoon for a service which begins at 3 p.m.
