A report on the Easter Egg Hunt sponsored bv the club was given by Jim Harper, The attendance of about 200 youngsters far exceeded expectations, but no one was surprised by the enthusiasm or the diligence of the egg hunters. As chairman of the Finance Committee, Charlie Priest ad vised that the general reaction to those attending the recent Ham and Turkey Dinner was 'most complimentary. Chairman Allen Cooper out ilined final plans for the Horse [Show, and a roll call of those [present filled the need for help requested before and during the affair. Other reports by the Health and Welfare Committee were given and the Recreation Com mittee reported work had pro gressed on the ball field in preparation for organizing youth recreation. The meeting was completed with an account by L. J. Davis Zone Governor of the National Ruritan Convention heldatVir ginia Beach during January. An excellent set of slides taken by photographer Davis lent visual emphasis to the interesting and relaxing moments spent by the convention delegates.
