SP/4 Ron Hawkins who has been stationed at Ft. Sill, Okla is spending a few weeks leave with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Milton M. Hawkins, Jr. attheir home on Calvert Street. Mrs. A. M. Verner returned to her home Saturday from the Culpeper Memorial Hospital. Her daughter Miss Phyllis Verner of Falls Church was a guest from Sunday until Tuesday.

Stephen Vaughan was a guest in the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Miller from Friday until Sunday. Mrs. Vaughan and two sons returned with him to their home in Ridgewood, N. J. after spending the week with her parents at Millermead. Mr. and Mrs. John W. Price of Vienna were Saturday visitors in the Miller home. Mrs. Mary V. Updike was in Richmond Tuesday and Wednesday to attend Orientation Training Programs for new clerks in ASCS offices.

William M. Stuart of Beltsville, Md. spent the week-end at his home on Blue Ridge Avenue. Lt. and Mrs. R. V. Snead, Jr. of Ft. Bragg, N. C. were the weekend guests of Mrs. Snead’s parents Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lee Smith at Spring House Farm, and Judge and Mrs. R. V. Snead at Fairlea. Sam Snead left Sunday for Ft. Benning, Georgia for possible further assignment. Airman David Palmer of the Naval Air Station, Memphis, T.enn. spent the weekend with his parents Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Palmer at Scuffle Hill. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Slaughter of Leesburg were Sunday guests of Mr. Slaughter’s brother-in-law and sister Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Keyser at The Oaks. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Styer has returned to their home in the Gid Brown Hollow after spending the winter at their home in Pass-A-Grille, Florida. Their weekend guest was Mrs. Helen Beaushesne of Arlington and Brunswick, Maine. Mrs. Beaushesne has just returned from a fifteen month world tour. She is an avid amateur photographer, specializing in birds
