By W. H. Lyne . Wayne Dodson and Bill Snead will exhibit lambs at the Glenwood Park Livestock Exposition this Saturday. The show, which starts at 10 a.m., is open to 4-H and F.F.A. members, and is sponsored by the Middleburg Hunt Race Association, Inc.
A series of slide showings on "Eradicate in 68* got underway last night at Castleton. Other showings will be as follows: April26at Amissville Fire Hall, April 30 at Flint Hill Fire Hall, May 1 at Sperry ville Fire Hall, May 2 at Chester Gap Fire Hall and May 3 at the Court House in Washington. All showings will start promptly at 8 p.m. These showings are added phases of Rappahannock’s “War on Weeds". Regretfully, the degree of known infestation of Musk and Curled Thistles is growing by leaps and bounds. “Eradicate in Six-Eight" will teach you how to identify these dreaded pests, how and why to kill them. All property owners are invited to attend. Infact, we urge everyone to attend no matter whether you area commercial farmer or not. Afterall, Musk thistle was observed growing in a yard last week.. The blossom is beautiful BUTIf you can’t attend the program the night it is scheduled to be in your community, come when in another.
