Sperryville Schedules Rock V Roll Dance

A Rock ’n Roll Dance Is scheduled for Friday night, May 3 at the Sperryville fire hall, from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m. duslc will be provided by the Jaguars and admission is $1.50 per person. Men must wear coats and ties. The dance is for the benefit of the Sperry ville Fire Department.

Home Fallout Protection Survey

A number of local residents arc putting on colorful badges and going calling for the next few weeks. They a re among the 1,183 Virginia residents employed by the U. S. Bureau of the Census as interviewers for the Home Fallout Protection Survey which the Bureau is conducting throughout the State for the Virginia Office of Civil Defense. Joseph R. Norwood, Director of the Census Bureau Regional Office in Charlotte, N. C., announces that the following persons have been selected and trained as interviewers to call at homes in Rappahannock County: Muybelle Gilkey, I amerle Williams, Nan cy McCoy, and Betty M.
