Riding Clinic Held
High Thicket Farm
Monday, August 11, through Saturday, August 16 saw a riding clinic at High Thicket Farm, the Sperryville residence of Mrs. j James P. Jamieson. The clink features a week of work ovei cavaletti with emphasis on rudimentary jumping. Its purpose is to teach the horse and rider to work freely, safely and willingly on natural hunting terrain.
The clinic is being programmed by Miss Joanne van Broderode of Washington, Virginia. Miss van Broderode has taken training for and received an assistant riding instructor’s certificate from Britain’s well-known equestrian school, Porlock Vale, located in Somersett, England.
