Food Requested
The Amissville Ladies Auxiliary is requesting members or community residents to contribute fried chicken, deviled eggs or potato salad for the box suppers for the carnivaJ food stand on Thursday, August 21. The food may be brought to the food stand that afternoon and there will be someone present to take care of it after 1 p.m. If you need your contribution picked up, please call Mrs. Russell Hackley at 937-4173. Cakes and pies are also needed for the food stand each night Wednesday through Saturday, August 20-23.
All plans for the annual carnival were finalized at the July meeting of the Amissville Ladies Auxiliary so there will not be an August meeting of the group. Members will work at the carnival instead of meeting this month.
