Col. and Mrs. Page Blanks ol Williamsburg were guests Wednesday and Thursday of Miss Phoebe Green. Miss Green spent the weekend in Bethesda, Md. with her sister Mrs. W. O. Cooley.
Sunday guests of Mrs. John Poe were Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Welch of Arlington, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Corbin and family ol Manassas Park, Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Corbin and Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Poe and children.
Sgt. and Mrs. William Putnam and children Linda and Deborah, who have just returned here from Fairbanks, Alaska, spent three weeks with his mother Mrs. Ethel Hall. While here they visited the Zoo in Washington, and were guests at a cook-out Saturday night at the home of Mrs. Betty Baldwin and family. They were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Carter and on Monday Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Latham entertained them for dinner. Mr. and Mrs. Putnam and family left Tuesday for two weeks in Montreal, Canada where they will visit her family before reporting to Otis Air Force Base, Mass, for duty. Mr. Putnam has seventeen years of military service. Mrs. Doris Kerns and two sons of Charlottesville returned to their home Thursday after spending a week with Mr. and S4rs. George F. Lawrence. Mrs. Thornton Semones has returned home from the Culpeper Memorial Hospital where she has been a patient for ten days. During her hospitalization, her daughter, Mrs. Barbara Winters and children Scott and Rhonda of Greenbelt, Md. spent the time with Mr. Semones. Visitors during the weekend in the Semones home were Ronald Winters of Greenbelt, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hicklin and daughters Lana and Dona of Danville, John S. Hill, Culpeper, Mr. and Mrs. James Legg and family of Warrenton.
Mrs. Ruth Corbitt spent Tuesday in Fredericksburg.
