The opening of the Flint Hill Firemen’s annual carnival last night was accompanied by a fireworks display and the feature tonight, Thursday, will be the big parade scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. The carnival continues through Saturday night.
The parade will be led by the Virginia Lancers, state champion Drum and Bugle Corps and Mist Virginia Holton, daughter of Gov and Mrs. Linwood Holton, will b« the Grand MarshaT.* Miss Jeannette Smith, the newly crowned “Miss Virginia” 1970 will be a special guest. Othei parade units will include floats marching units, majorettes and numerous pieces of fire and rescue equipment.
