Lord Fairfax. “Tbeae awards are made to qualified students who hare established their need for financial assistance,” Dr. Palmer said. Palmer said that these awards are made from Federal funds received by the college under the provisions of the Higher Education Act of 1968. He estimated that the available funds at Lord Fairfax for the 1970-71 academic year were as follows: $4,000 for National Defense Student loans, $7,000 for Educational Opportunity grants, and $12,000 for Work-Study employment.
Palmer added that funds are still available and applications for financial aid may be obtained from the. Office of Student Personnel Services at the college’s temporary offices located in the Old Dominion motel on Route 11 just north of Middletown.
