Mishaps Reported
Two vehicle* were slightly damaged last Thursday evening in Flint Hill when they ddeswiped. According to Trooper W. A, Buntin, Alma Lee Pemberton oi Fredericksburg in a 68 Mercury was parked on the street in Flint Hill and was sideswiped by a 69 Chevrolet operated by Jesse Shifflett of Manassas. Combined damage was estimated at $125.
Troopers K. L. Mlllei investigated a single car car crash which occurred on Route 211 just east of Washington Sunday afternoon. Two men were slightly injured in the wreck. Edwarc Homer Bailey, III of Washington was operating a 64 Chevrolet traveling east when he ran off tb< right of the highway, lost control and veered back across the road and struck a bank. Bailey sustained lacerations of the head and face. Morris Russell Jeffriei Jr. of Luray, a passenger, received lacerations of the face. The cai was declared a total loss.

No team has been able to break away from the pack During the week three differen teams led the league: Charted Industries, Village and Amissville Amissvllle is ahead by less thar one half game at the present time The standing came about in the manner as described. Amissville was shut-out by Charted 9-0 bul came back on Sunday to defeat Village 8-7 in a poorly handled game. Charted stayed close to the top by defeating Amissville 9-0 and WTC 12-9. Charted’s climb was slowed by Vlewtown 3-1 Viewtown scored a second victory by splitting a doubleheader with Village. Viewtown won the first 14-5 and lost the second 6-5. The only other scheduled game was rained out. It was between Amissville and Viewtown.
