Tonight let us permit our minds to wander a bit. Today has been a good day, a day to learn more of God’s Divine Decrees: I hope it has not been entirely wasted on me. If I have craved for joys that are not mine, if I have let my wayward heart repine, dwelling on things of earth, ot things divine • Good Lord, forgive.
Today I read in Earl Wilson’s column this quote; “People who do a good day’s work don’t have much competition.” Why work? Uncle Sugar will take care of you, there is welfare, you know. I think it well that the poor and needy are taken care of, I do not think that indolence should be encouraged.
Arrogance; overestimating one’s importance. Can we, by any exercise of the imagination, say such a person has the gift of meekness? I read the other day that someone had said that the earth is getting into such a state that even the meek do not care to inherit it. It is a pretty good old world. Of course there are some that do not appreciate it. It will be here when they are gone.' FIRST DAY OF THE REST OF YOUR LIFE. Conversely we might say; TODAY MAY BE THE LAST DAY OF YOUR LIFE.
