Mr. and Mrs. Paul Karnes and children and Mrs. Vergie Jenkins of Culpeper, Mrs. Mecie Thornhill of Washington, D. C., and Mir. and Mrs. George A. Johnston were at Big Meadows on Skyline Drive Sunday for a picnic. Mr. and Mrs. Cary Thornhill were Sunday visitors of Clyde Courtney who has been ill, Miss Earle Spicer and Mrs. Thornhill’s cousin, Mrs. Bessie Brown, all of Culpeper.
Jenkins Family Reunion
The annual reunion of the late Alfred Jenkins and Lucy Catherine Jenkins family of Rappahannock County will be held this year August 9 at the new Fire Hall in Sperryville. All members of the family and friends are invited to come and bring a picnic basket.

Miss Susan Dodson of Radford College spent the weekend with her mother Mrs. James S. Dodson and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Howell of Staunton were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Miller. Carl Howell of Madison Heights joined his family during the weekend and all remained as visitors this week in the Miller home.
The Rev. and Mrs. James B. Grimmer and daughter Susan of Montpelier were guests for several days last week of the Rev. and Mrs. Jerry Campbell. Mr. Grimmer, a former pastor, conducted services Sunday at the Methodist Church.
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Crane and children Mike and Cathy of Lanham, Md. were the weekend guests of Mrs. Crane’s parents Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Brady.
Mrs. Thomas J. Rodgers accompanied her son Dr. Robert J. Rodgers from Herne, Texas on Friday and is remaining for a visit of several weeks with Dr. and Mrs. Rodgers at their home Clifton.
