Charles O’Bannon

Charles William O’Bannon, 92, of Culpeper died Auguat 2, 1970 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.

Mr. O’Bannon was a retired mall carrier and farmer. He was a lifelong resident of Culpeper County and lived in Rlxeyville for many years. He was a member of Gourdvine Baptist Church. His wife was the late Mildred Pulliam O’Bannon an; he was the son of the late Eggborn O’Bannon and Hannah Thomas O’Bannon.

Survivors include a son, Silas L. O’Bannon of Warrenton; seven daughters, Mrs. William Partlow, Mrs. William Rosenberger, Miss Mary S. O’Bannon, Mrs. Carter Saunders and Mrs. Charles Harris, all of Culpeper; Mrs. B. F. Cannon of McLean and Mrs. Robert Bowen of Arlington.

Also four brothers, Eggborn O’Bannon of Dayton, Ohio; Richard L. O’Bannon of Falls Church, Walter O’Bannon of Silver Spring, Md. and Sam O’Bannon of Rlxeyville; fourteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

A graveside funeral service was held Tuesday in Falrview Cemetery. The Rev. Gordon George conducted the service. Grandsons acted as pallbearers.
