of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Thornhill of Boston were keen competitors in the junior hog show. C. G.’s 190 pound Hampshire hog was Reserve Champion of the market hog show and sold for 52'A cents per pound to the Rappahannock Farmers’ Co-op. C. G. also won the fitting and showing trophy and the sweepstake award.

Young brother, David, was in there fighting all the way and came out second in fitting and showing and had the 1st place pen of three hogs.

Ginger Scudder, 12 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Scudder of Castleton won a total of 16 ribbons in the homemaking department. And I am sure Ginger worked as hard in preparing her 4-H lamb for the show as any youngster there. Ginger’s^lamb, which had been washed, scrubbed, clipped, combed and bleached, placed first in her class of ewe lambs under 1 year of age. Ginger’s lamb was not sold and is now safely back home following her mistress around the yard on a homemade leash.
