Miss Helen Kaye Johnston, laughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Morgan Johnston of Washington, Virginia, became the bride of Samuel Andrew Reams, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hinton Samuel Fleams, Jr. of Church Road, Virginia, on Saturday, October 10, 1970, at three o’clock in rrinity Episcopal Church. i|The double-ring ceremony was jferformed by the Reverend iVilliam M. Hargett before a jetting of palms, candelabra and iltar flowers of white gladioli and nums. The organist, Mrs. Paul Nichols, ilayed traditional wedding music vhich included “Ave Maria”-Schubert; “The Lord’s ?ray er”-Malotte; Purcell’s ‘Trumpet Voluntary”, and “Paris \ngelicus”-Franck. Given in marriage by her father, he bride wore a formal A-line •own of white silk linen. A icooped neckline fashioned the ifted bodice and puffed linen ippliques extended from the leckline and bordered the jottom of the dress. A detachable rain fell gracefully from the thoulders. She wore a fingertip nantilla of Belgian lace and :arried a cascade of white roses, itephanotis, and ivy tips. Miss Carolyn Johnston, sister of he bride, was maid of honor. She vas attired in a floor length olive preen gown made of avanti. The >odice featured a scooped neck, :apped sleeves, covered buttons md the gathered skirt fell from in Empire waist. She carried a ■ascade of yellow and bronze lompon chrysanthemums iccented with ivy tips.
