Traffic Crash

Of Utility Truck

A 1962 International truck awned by the C ft P Telephone Company of Virginia in Richmond crashed into the bank on Route 522 alinost a mile math of Flint Hill Tuesday afternoon at four o’clock. According to a report filed by W. A. Bun tin, investigating officer, the vehicle was operated by Vernon Leon Sargent of Winchester and damage was estimated at a thousand dollars. Apparently the brakes of the truck locked and pulled the vehicle off the left of the highway, said the report.

Last week two vehicles collided at the intersection of Routes 211 and 729 at Ben Venue. Mrs. Elizabeth Carolyn Derrer of Harrisonburg driving a 68 Mercury was traveling on the main highway when Mossie H. Brown of Amissville in a 70 Chevrolet entered the road from Route 729. Mr. Brown was cited with failing to yield the right of way by Trooper K. L. Miller.
