Squad Notes (
Flint Hill Rescue Squad was called to scene of an accident November 24 on Route 522 near Fletcher's Mill. Services were not needed On November 29 Thomas Jones was taken from his home in Flint Hill to Warren Memorial Hospital and back home. Flint Hill Fire Company reported to a chimney fire at Amanda Champs on November 25. On the 29th they answered a call to the Stockyard fire at Front Royal. Hubert Gilkey, Jr. was taken from his home to Winchester Memorial Hospital Thursday by the Chester Gap Rescue Squad. Members of the Chester Gap Fire Dept, aided in fighting the fire in Front Royal Monday evening, when the Livestock Market burned. Rappahannock Rescue Squad reported to an accident at the intersection of Route 622 and 211 on Saturday night. Services were not needed. Washington V.F.D. also reported for standby service. Sunday night the Squad took Mildred Blakely from the home of Oscar Sisk to the University of Virginia Hospital. Monday afternoon Miss Annie Stephenson was transferred from Culpeper Memorial Hospital to her home in Woodville. On Wednesday C. B. Clatterbuck was taken to Warren Memorial Hospital.
Monday night Washington V.F.D. and Rappahannock Rescue Squad answered a call to the Livestock Market fire in Front Royal. Other units reporting there were Chester Gap and Flint Hill.
Amissville Rescue Squad took Mrs. Mary Halle from her home to Culpeper Memorial Hospital on
November 25. Sunday morning Mrs. Evelyn Harrison was taken to Culpeper Hospital by this unit.
Amissville Fire Company responded to a chimney fire November 29 at the home of Ernest Webb.
