67a % SUBORDINATED DEBENTURES Dated October 15,1971 Due October 15,1978 The F&M National Corporation, a Virginia corporation, will offer to bona fide residents of the Commonwealth of Virginia subordinated debentures in multiples of $500.00, payable on October 15th, 1978, together with interest at the rate of 6*6 per cent per annum from the date of the authentication by the T***istee, payable quarter annually on January *5th, April 15th, July 15th and October 15th in each year, provided that no interest shall be paid prior to January 15th, 1972. The debentures may be redeemed at the option of the corporation as a whole or from time to time in part, on any ( te after December 31st, 1972 and prior to maturity at 100 per cent of the principal amount.
