AVON HALL in Washington, Va., the home ol Mr. and Mrs. William Carrigan, will again be the scene v for a festive evening of entertainment and a grand 'iK ' fireworks display this coming July 4.
•The public is invited to sit on the hillsides around the lake a* Avon Hall to hear the martial music piped all over the grounds, along with guest speakers. There is to be a special demonstration by the Rappahannock Hunt and according to Mr. Carrigan, an outstanding exhibition of importance to this community will be shown.
After a busy and fun-filled day at the Library Super Flea Market, visitors are invited to picnic on the grounds next to the courthouse if they wish and to enjoy the activities in a relaxed atmosphere which will again stress the importance of this great Independence Day.
THE PEOPLE are requested to remain well up on the hill above the lake to insure ample space for movement of the demonstration and be a safe distance from the execution of the fireworks by authorized persons. The Carrigans ask that litter be placed in receptacles arranged at convenient locations on the grounds and nearby.
They also ask that parking on the highway be carefully executed and that the public refrain from parking in the driveway to Avon Hall. Parking will be available on Gay Street also. □
