lyn Glascock of Amissville in second place. Colonial Beach Twirlettes Drummers received a first award and Golden Eagle Majorette group was in first place, with Colonial Beach second.
Pam Gill was found best individual majorette and the Luray V.F.D. clown the best comic entry. American Legion Post #53 was the best appearing float.
THE WASHINGTON volunteer organizations expressed appreciation for “the excellent participation in the parade, for the continued patronage and attendance of all, for the willing work of the numerous persons whose diligent endeavors insured the success of the event, and for all contributions of food and many other ways of participation and assistance.” □
