WITH EIGHT DAYS of the deer season gone, as I make this report, 171 deer have been checked at Rappahannock checking stations. This compares to a total of 188 deer taken during the entire 71-72 season.
By checking stations, the kill so far has been: Sperryville 46 deer; Washington, 34 deer, one bear and two turkeys; Amissville, 15 deer; Flint Hill, 47 deer and four turkeys; Chester Gap, 27 deer and two turkeys.
