Well, everyone’s back from their holiday vacation and have settled into the grind again. Maybe I shouldn’t say “grind” since so many find it great fun. I should take a lesson on the art of having fun (in school).

After the excitement* of the holiday and weekend, the students at RCHS are impatiently awaiting the first basketball game. This game will be Tuesday the 5th with Montevideo at home. We’re expecting a good turnout for our first game and urge everyone to come to as many games as possible.

Our team has a great foundation with Harry Jordan and Jay Miller as centers; Cliff Frye, Mike Raney, Steve Leake, William Jordan, Bobby Titchenell and Jim Massie as guards and forwards. The student body is behind you 100%!!!

Now, let’s get to the nasty part. Admission for the games will be $1.50 for adults and students at the door and 75<J for students only if they purchase tickets during school. Admission for students and adults for away games is $1.50 at all times.

Members of the Junior Class are still hard at work selling their candy. There’s a feeling in the air that this year’s prom will be long remembered. I wonder why? The NHS is planning a bon fire for Friday night. If there’s anything you want burnt, just tell one of the National Honor Society members and we’ll see what we can do.
