THE FOX hunt is a centuries-old sport dating back to our European forefathers and, for the last 16 years, the tradition has been an annual event in Madison County. But unlike the steeplechase events so popular to this time of the year, the Madison fox hunt places the horses in a secondary role. There are many followers, both male and female, who are mounted and in the chase, but the glory and prizes of the day are strictly fof the hounds.
