THE GENERAL Assembly opened its regular 60day session, which is held every two years, on January 9. The first week of the session was spent in organization of the House and Senate, appointment of committees and receiving recommendations from Governor Holton and incoming Governor Godwin, who was inaugurated last Saturday.
The energy crisis has posed a large question looming over this legislative session. The State can do very little to deal with the problems caused by the energy crisis and fuel shortages because this is a national problem and thg federal laws and regulations would take precedence over any state laws and regulations.
