THERE ARE A NUMBER OF EVENTS coming up in February and March that should be of interest to many Rappahannock folks. During February there will be a series of V.P.I. Extension sponsored schools in Warrenton, Culpeper and Madison. As an example, the school in Warrenton will be every Wednesday night from 7-9 p.m. during the month of February.
You can take your choice of two from eight classes for each night. Here is an example of a few classes being offered: Feeding the Beef Herd Cheaper and Better, Economics of Fertilizer Use, Soybean Production, The Immature Horse (Feeding and caring from foal to horse), Growing Grapes and Other Small Fruits, Better Food Buys, and Estate Planning.
Programs for these three schools are posted in the Extension office. Stop by and look them over, or give us a call and will give you the subjects, time, dates, etc. of the various classes.
Orchardists will want to circle Wednesday, February 20, on their calendars. This is the date of the Rappahannock-Madison Area Fruit School. The program was planned by local orchardists and will be held at Graves Mountain Lodge.
