has merit but both the committee and the Virginia Advisory Legislative Council realize that a number of changes may be desirable in these proposals. It is likely that no action will be taken on this bill during this session and it will probably be carried over to the 1975 session.
ANOTHER bill would require each county to have minimum standards for sanitary requirements and road access in subdivisions. Most of the counties in our section of the state already have such subdivision ordinances but there are a number of counties which do not. The bill would not require zoning or a comprehensive land use plan and these matters are left up to the localities.
