The ladies ofSperryville who sponsored and served the dinner Saturday benefitting the Rappahannock Youth Club fund express their appreciation to everyone who joined in making the dinner a complete success, those who contributed time, food, supplies, service and those who attended the dinner. It was the combined effort of all which insured the success of the activity.

RLEP meet

is June 7

The “water quality meeting” arranged by the Rappahannock League for Environmental Portection is set for 8 p.m., June 7, at the court house in Washington.

Speakers will be Jack Lorenz and Chairman Pete Luke of the Board of Supervisors. Lorenz is information director of the Izaak Walton League of America, and the title of his talk is “Save Our Streams — Adopt One.” Luke will discuss the latest proposals for cleaning up the Thornton River at Sperry ville. □
