Lt Governor John Dalton visited with citizens in Rappahannock County Thursday, September 26. Through Mrs. H.M. Keyser, coordinator, appointments had been arranged for different people who wished to discuss specific matters with him. Approximately twenty residents made querries concerning state land use plans, planning community affairs, and proposed rate increase by VEPCO. Opposition was registered to additional personnel in the local Sheriff’s Department and to kindergarten requirements for Rappahannock as set out by the state. Members of the Rappahannock Planning Commission were promised material for assistance in local planning and community affairs. Dalton stated that the Governor had appointed a Land Use Council under the Secretary of Commerce and Resources. Left to right are E.N. Montague, F.M. Baumgardner, E.M.
