Amissville Fire Company responded to a trash fire September 20 at the old Stringfellow house site and on the 24th answered an alarm to a chimney fire at the Clem residence.
Flint Hill Rescue Squad took Wayne Sutphin from the farm of Raymond Sutphin to Fauquier Hospital Saturday. Washington Rescue Unit responded to this call also to assist. The Flint Hill unit took Miss Lucy Estes from home in Washington to Warren Memorial Hospital that day also. Washington Fire Company responded to a chimney fire at the Gilbert Cameron home Monday.

Washington Rescue Squad was called to wreck in Gid Brown Hollow, September 25. Services not needed. 'Hie same day Kenneth G. Bussey was taken from the fire house to Warren Memorial Hospital. September 28 Aubrey Keyser was taken from home to University of Virginia Hospital.
Sperryville Rescue Squad took Susan Alterdorn of Brightwood from an accident scene west of Sperryville September 27 to Page Memorial Hospital. September 29 E. N. Montague was taken from home to Culpeper Memorial Hospital. September 30 Jake Fincham of Woodville was taken to Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
