To the amazement of some, the joy of others, the sadness of some seniors and the anticipation of many, the last day of school has finally come. Summer vacation is here and the halls of R. C. H. S. will be quiet once again until the hustle and clamour of school life returns next fall.
Our Baseball team will certainly look forward to spmmer having had such a successful season behind them. As most of you know our Panthers placed 1st in the district; then as a result of a 2-1 Victory over Amelia High School and a 6-5 win over Montivideo our team also won the title of Regional Champs. How they’re contending for the state championship and looking over the past season our chances look hopeful. All our Panthers are really to be commended for their fine effort and successes this season.
Special congratulations must also be given our Baseball coach Mr. Preston Douglas for a fine season and also for being voted Skyline District Baseball coach of the year.
Our Boys Track team had a less successful season this year but most of the team members were young and unexperienced and Pm sure have a lot of good years ahead of them. Mr. Toth, the Boys Track Coach, was chosen as Skyline District Track coach of the year. Congratulations Mr. Toth.
