Hitt
Raymond E. Hitt, Sr. 70, of Wilmington, Del. died May 16, 1976 at his home. He was the son of the late Edward F. and Mary Elizabeth Cubbage Hitt of Culpeper. He was a former employee of the Rochester Corp.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Viola Mae Bailey Hitt; a son, Allen E. Hitt of Wilmington and a foster son, Carroll Martin of New Castle, Del- Also surviving from his first marriage to die late, Mary Louise Weaver are three sons, Raymond E. Hitt, Jr. of Castleton, Robert L. Hitt of Henderson, Ky., and William A. Hitt of Kensington, Md.; two, daughters, Mrs. Eleanor Schroeder of National City, Cal., and Mrs. Sarah L. Heitz of Wilmington, Del.; fourteen grandchildren; two brothers, Archie L. Hitt and Roy H. Hitt and a sister, Mrs. Alpha M. Sutphin, all of Culpeper.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday at Geest Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.□
