IN MEMORIAM
In memory of my beloved Husband, Bennie 0. Pullen and our Father, who departed this life 2 years ago July 12, 1974. No pen can write, no tongue can tell, our sad and bitter loss; But God alone has helped so well, to bear the heavy cross. And though we can not see you from whom we had to part, Your memory is like a melody still lives within our hearts. A precious one from us has gone, a voice we loved is stilled; A place is vacant in our home which never can be filled. God in his wisdom has recalled the bloom his love has given, And though the body slumbers on, the soul is safe is Heaven. God watch you from His Throne up there, He saw the road was getting rough and knew you had your share, He closed your weary eyes and took you in His care. The days are so long since you have been gone, The nights much darker too, I wander around much of the time. Just thinking, dear of you. I think of you in silence, no eyes can see me weep; But many silent tears are shed while others are asleep. To your grave we always wander, Flowers we place with care, No one knows the heartbreak, When we turn and leave you there. Gone but not forgotten.
