The 1977 Agricultural Conservation Program has been authorized and funded for the 1977 Program Year. Producers are encouraged to get necessary soil samples now in order to avoid any delay in obtaining cost share assistance under the 1977 program.
Soil sample boxes and information cm taking soil samples can be obtained either at the Rappahannock County ASCS Office or the Extension Service Office in Washington, Virginia. After a soil sample is taken, bring it to the ASCS Office so that the sample can be properly identified and mailed. Further details on the 1977 Agricultural Conservation Program will be announced later.
