working together in Chicago, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on Jan. 12. a week before she became ill and had to be hospitalized. While Mrs. Johnson no longer rode, she was active along with her husband in the Genesee Valley Hunt and with the Old Dominion Hounds in Virginia. The Johnsons bought their first property in Rappahannock in 1972 when they lived in the District. They continued to visit the county throughout the time they lived in Rochester. NY. from 1983 until thev moved here full time in 1999."
She was a former board member of the Rappahannock Association for the Arts and Community.
In addition to her husband. Mrs. Johnson is survived by a sister. Dr. Shakeela Husain of Chicago, brothers Emad Khqja of Brooklyn and Faroes Khaja of Clearwater, Fla., and numerous nieces and nephews.
