Bribing Firefly with another carrot, the teacher steps around the table. “How’re you doing over there,” Brown-Wing asked Harry; bent in concentration over the drafting table. “I think he needs more...” Harry pauses.
“More what?” BrownWing asked, peering over Harry's shoulder to see the pencil sketch.
“More booty.” Harry looks up at Firefly’s red rump. “Definitely more booty”
“Yeah,” Brown-Wing said with a Laugh, circling the table to place another sticky note on the top of Firefly’s rump. “He’s pretty round. You’ll do a lot of that — draw something that you think’ is right (in a horse sketchl, then you’ll look, and really study the horse in front of you and you’ll realize the proportion is wrong. That’s what art is all about. Observation.”
The horse-drawing course begins July 5, running Wednesdays 6-8 p.m. and Saturdays 5-7 p.m.
