The Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation, and Substance Abuse Services hi Loudoun County is seeking a futt-time Prevention Specialist to provide Prevention and Community Outreach Services. Position vwtt supply community-based tobacco prevention services to at-risk youth, their families, and position involves grant management program evaluation, program budgot management Duties include collaboration with other agendas/ coalitions to ensure that community prevention programming adchesses high risk behaviors and promotes development of protective factors. Must be knowledgeable in evidence-based substance abuse programs; possess strong organizational skills: experience working with at-risk youth, in co-leading groups; public speakings demonstrate ability to function effectively in an interagency, collaborative capacity. Position could involve activities in a recreational setting. Bachelor's degree In social work, psychology, counseling or related field, and two years related experience.
