The annual family reunion of the late Henry T. Whorton and Lillie Cloud Whorton will be held at the Rappahannock Park. Washington on Saturday. The Page County 1st art and music festival will be held on Saturday. Sept. 13 on First Street from 11 a.m. -8 p.m. This all day extravaganza is free to the public and will offer access to musical performances, art exhibits and a chili cook-off. Food and beverages will be offered for sale on site.

The Piedmont Environmental Council's annual meeting will be held on Saturday. Sept. 13 at Caledonia Farm in Flint Hill. The guest speaker is Lester Brown. President of the Earth Policy Institute, who was called by The Washington Post one of the world's most influential thinkers.' There is no charge for the media. Food will be available for sale.
