Sept. 13: RoughRfcte

The Fauquier Free Clinic will host the Rappahannock RoughRide at to a.m., Saturday. Sept 13. The 12to 60-mile bicycle nde is the last fundraiser of the year for the Free Clinic. It is a self-paced, multi-level cycling challenge for the recreational or senous cyclist, covenng some of Virginias most beautiful countryside. Courses include 12-. 35- or 60-mile rides over paved roads, or a 20- or 30-mile mixed terrain RoughRide. The first 350 registrants earn the right to wear the coveted RoughRide T-shirt.

All proceeds benefit the uninsured families of the Fauquier Free Clinic, which is supported by Fauquier Health. Register and pay $25 for adults and $15 for children under 12. to ride through beautiful Rappahannock County. Sept. 20: Gospel

Gospel fest will be held on Saturday. Sept. 20. beginning at 3 p m., at the RCHS auditonum. The event is a fund raiser for the benefit of the “AfricanAmerican Heritage Center' planned for the Scrabble School site. The program will feature local singers and musicians of which several are Scrabble School alumni. Reservations are encouraged with a donation of $20 for adults and $10 for students.
