Thanks to parental involvement, being the leader of this club is not a big time commitment, nor does it require a lot of planning for each meeting. This is a very fun club that the children love.

Officials also are looking for a leader for Rappahannock’s 4H Horse Club, the Mustang Riders. This club is perfect for anyone who loves horses. No one has to own a horse to be in the club. We need to find a person who is willing to lead the club meetings during which the children decide what activities they would like to do the next year. Meetings can be held at the Extension office where the club can plan trips to various farms, horse shows, farriers, etc.

In addition, the 4-H Teen Club needs a co-leader. This club is designed for teens to gather and create programs for all teens ' in Rappahannock County. There are* also social activities and fundraisers.

And lastly, there are many youth in Rappahannock County who are interested in having a 4-H Environmental Club. This club could mean many different things, the possibilities are enormous. If someone would like to meet monthly (or more often) with a group of children who want to learn about the environment and want to protect the earth, then please give your time to this club.

For more information about any of these programs, please contact Jenny Kapsa, 4-H Coordinator, at the Rappahannock Extension Office at 540-6753619.
