Amissville H. D. Club Shows Active Program
A meeting. was held by the Amssville fi. D. club, November 9 at the home of Mrs. Katherine Riley. Mrs. Joe Hitt, the president, calledthe meeting to order. Many items of business were brought up. A square dance to be sponsored by the club is in the air, and will be decided upon at the next meeting. Mrs. A. C. Latham brought Vanilla and lemon extract to the meeting. This was given out to each member, to be sold by them, and make money for the club. The members filled out accomplfsliment sheets for the year. 'Some very nice pieees of clothing were brought by hte ladies for children on welfare. „ The president appointed the following leaders for next year; house furnishings leaders, Mrs. Will Walter, Mrs. Kathryn Riley and Mrs. Smith; foods leaders, Mrs. Sarah Latham and Mrs. Lois Walter; federation goal chairman, Mrs. A. C. Latham. .
A demonstration was given by the agent on “Candlewicking” and much interest was shown. —
