Character Sketch*'

As’no two people are exactly alike, no two people' have exactly the same opinion of another perse®. But .here are usually sev, eral outstanding qualities which are recognized by all.

This week ^ shall try to put over to you my idea of a girl who has many admirable characteristics.

“Mbs X,” as I shall call the heroine of *chis sketch, was born m Wardensville, *West Virginia. „ She attended lAmissville and Forest Grove school for six years and her last four years have been spent at Washington High School.

'Whenever I meet “Mbs X,v whether nfereK- passing ii^-tlte hall or seeing her during phys. ed., she always greets me with a friendly smile.

My heroine is a verj^'good student, making high grades in all her subjects. As • a reporter for the school paper she has exhibit, ed an imagination whiih enables fcer to write articles not only informing but also entertaining.

“Miss X” is active in baseball and a good sport, whether 0*1 the trinnfng bP~?>n the losing team/ It’s a familiar sight to see ■ the •ball sdaring over the heads of the outfielders as my heroine rounds the bases for a‘ home run.

‘‘Miss X”^ sings alto in' the school glee club and is a member of the library jelub.

“Ask ‘Miss X/^she’ll be gla<f to help you.” + Yes, no matter how much homework “Miss X” has or what her plans are, she can always find time to do an extra task so that the work of another wifi be made easier.

I know—as do the pupils of W.H.S.—that HELEN ZINN will have a successful future and that she will bring happiness as well as honor into the lives of those with whom she. associates.
