Our people are beginning to (believe that it is better to be lucky than it is to be honest. A man may toil a* lifetime honestly and save and try to achieve success in his community and yet have less than someone who was lucky enough to be asked, "What color is the opposite of white?” on the radio program! Once gambling is in the blood of a person it is very difficult to heal him. 'Many of our people have a mild variety of the disease and do not realize that some of those who catch it from them will have severe cases in which they will throw away everything they have or can get simply to’ gamble. It is difficult to per&uade the parents of m child that has a mild ease of whooping cough that •their child should be kept away from other children lest they take it and perhaps die from it. What are you going to do about this disease that threatens the life of our country? Our country cannot remain strong when this philosophy of life becomes that of most of our people. When the economy of a nation is 'based upon anything other than the honest toil of its citizens it will fail. More and more people are wanting more and more money for less and less work. The only way for. everyone to have more money is to produce , more while they are working.
