* By means-of calf Vaccination through the judicious use of Brucella abortus strain 19 Vaccine, a high degree of resistance and „ immunity to brucellosis can toe built up in a herd. It is a great aid to the test-and-slaughter plan. Calf vaccination against brucellosis is recommended throughout Virginia as a practical method of building up immunity to brucellosis in cattle herds. It is one good method. by which a herd owner can put his herd iii position for blood testing and eradication of positive reactors, with the least possible loss. Once a herd of-vaccinated, negative herd replacements, has been developed, the herd owner is better situated to test his old c^ws and slaughter the reactors.
