(Mobile Dental Clinic
|430 of the necessary funds •re on hand for the mobile dental unit to visit Rappahannock schools, both white and colored, to Ax children’s teeth at a minimum coat. 3213 ia the, .amount lacking and this must be raised before the unit arrives. A schedule is already set for the mobile unit to be in Rappahannock during the months of March, April, and May.
It has been impossible to secure these services in former years because Rappahannock had no health department, but now with the local division of the state depart^ ment of health, such opportunities are available.
A survey has been made of the schools in the county as to the amount of dental work needed by the school children. Records are not available in all schools, but in one school of the county it was found that of 140 pupils, 104 needed dental defects corrected. This health department mobile dental service is for school children in grades 1 to 7.
