Funeral services for Mrs William J. Rutherford, 75, of Castleton, who died Sunday, February 26, at tJniversity hospital, were held Tuesday front Thornton Gap Primitive Baptist church, of which % she iwas a member. The Rev. J. Et. Mrs. Rutherford, daughter of George Frazier and Sarah Clark Frazier of Rappahannock county, is survived by five daughters, and four sons: Mrs. Carroll Frye, Mrs. Sam Frye, Mrs. Jonas Pullen, Mrs.— Alosh Atkins of Sperryville, Mrs., George Pullen of Staunton, Charlie Rutherford of Sperryville, Harry Rutherford of Washington, and —Haywood- and-Archie--Rutherford— of Castleton. Also surviving are two brothers, Lloyd Frazier of ' Luray and Willie Frazier of Sperryville, and 43 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Johnny Wood-, ward, J. T. Woodward, Robert Rutherford, Franklin Pullen, Ray- ' mond Frye, and James Rutherford.

Mrs. Kate Crane of Amissville died Monday evening, February 26, at a Charlottesville hospital, after an illness of three weeks.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, (today) March 1, at 11 a.m. at Geest Funeral Home in Culpeper. -Interment will be at Amissville. Rev. M. E. Sliger and Dr. J. T. Edwards will officiate.
